About Bahrain Nagarathars
This is a group of Nagarathar families living in the Kingdom of Bahrain. There were Nagarathars in Bahrain even before thirty years. But they were not brought under one roof, until in 2001, a small group of nagarathar families joined together to celebrate the ‘Pillaiyar Nonbu’ in our traditional way. From then on, the number of families attending the Pillaiyar Nonbu increased year after year. Presently about 30 families and 15 bachelors are in this group.
